Types of advertising:
  1. Targeted advertisements

Targeted advertisements use user-provided information from the “Profile” pages.

These high-value per click advertisements require the “Profile” pages be at least partially filled to function.

The advertisement is only displayed if the user profile matches the marketing criteria required, and if the product category advertised matches user’s interests.


 

  1. Non targeted advertisements

Non targeted advertisements only use the “Shopping Preferences” part of the “Profile” pages, to match users to advertisements.

These lower-value per click advertisements require the “Shopping Preferences” page be at least partially filled to function.

The advertisement is only displayed if the product category advertised matches user’s interests.


 

  1. 3’rd party advertisements

These low-value per click advertisements, are provided by 3’rd party online advertisers. They do not require any specific user information to function.

When possible, Seconds for Charity Inc. will filter and display these advertisements in accordance to the “Profile” information provided by users, to avoid displaying advertisements users might not be interested in.

3’rd party advertisers might use their own “ad targeting” technology, apart from Seconds For Charity’s user profiles.


  1. Affiliate advertisements

These are performance – based advertisements, in which businesses reward Seconds for Charity Inc. or it’s affiliates  for each visitor or customer brought in.

When possible, Seconds for Charity Inc. will filter and display these advertisements in accordance to the “Profile” information provided by users.
